Like in any good relationship, it has to work for both sides. We have adopted guidelines that have proven to work in other Villages. Becoming a member is a deliberate process that consists of 4 steps.
Step 1: Complete a member questionnaire and send it to the WLLO office. You can request that one will be mailed to you by calling this number: (503) 308-8223.
Step 2: A WLLO volunteer comes to your home to chat, get to know you better, and let you know more about our Village and what we are able to provide for our members. We want to make sure that we are able to meet your expectations and that you feel comfortable with our volunteer concept, as well as the social and services we are able to provide. We want to make sure you understand the benefits and limitations and that we are a match.
Step 3: Sign the membership agreement and other relevant papers.
Step 4: Make the necessary arrangements to pay for your membership
We organize new member meetings on a regular basis to help ease new members into our community and help them meet like-minded individuals.
